 World Youth Day -
Madrid, Spain 2011
 
 


World Youth Day is awesome!!!  Next year, 2011, young adult Catholics (ages 18-39) from around the world will gather for a week in lovely Madrid, Spain, with Pope Benedict XVI to celebrate and experience the Spirit of the Church in an all new way.  The theme is “Rooted and Built up in Jesus Christ, Firm in the Faith.”  Join other young adults from Virginia in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

 
The diocese is working with the Catholic Pilgrim Office of Quest Travel Group, to organize a young adult ( for those 18-39) pilgrim package to WYD2011.  This 10 day tour includes accommodations at a 3-4 star hotel in downtown Madrid and a full day tour of the beautiful city of  Toledo at the end of WYD.  We will have two young adult leaders and Fr. Ken Shuping will be spiritual director for the pilgrimage. 
 
World Youth Day is a major event, and we have had representation in Denver (1993); Toronto (2002); Rome (2004); Cologne (2005); and Sydney (2008).  Let us continue the tradition!  Our office will coordinate with the travel group.  To secure your space please complete the registration form and include your check, payable to the Catholic Pilgrim Office in the amount of $730 as soon as possible to:
